Art in the Vines: Township 7 Vineyard & Winery, Langley BC

August 27, 2012 –

Township 7 Gals work hard at the Art in the Vines event!

Yesterday on Sunday, August 26th Lisa and I attended an event at Township 7 Vineyard & Winery in Langley called Art in the Vines. This was the 2nd time we attended this event which is an annual artisanal fare with unique local wares that include over 50 established and emerging artists and vendors which were on-hand to discuss their works including crafts, jewelry, glass, pottery, paintings, photography, clothing, handcrafted cuisine, and much more.  This is Township 7′s award winning wine and a charity barbeque (charity bbq is in support of Langley Arts Council), to the delightful tunes of local musicians, classical guitarist – Louis Iannone and our house band – House Wine.  Admission was free (by donation to charity) in support of the Langley Arts Council.

We had lots of interest in both our businesses, enjoyed lots of music, the great weather and of course drank some wine!  We will be back!

Founded in 2001, Township 7 has two BC wineries, one situated in the scenic Fraser Valley and the other on the picturesque Naramata Bench in Canada’s premier wine region, the Okanagan Valley.

The Metro Vancouver winery is located in the beautiful south Langley countryside in a quaint building reminiscent of the many riding stables in the neighbourhood. Named after this historic community of south Langley, its original name in the late 1800s was “Township 7”- the cottage on our property is an original building from the 1930s.

Hard to believe we even work on Sundays with no overtime!

Similar territory to Champagne, France enables us to produce outstanding method traditionelle sparkling wine and dry, Provence style Rosé wines from our Langley vineyards. The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot vines at Township 7 Langley’s 5 acre property were planted in the spring of 2000 and the winery opened for business in July of 2001. Our south Langley winery offers a convenient “Wine Country experience”without leaving the city.

House Wine are a great band!
