DAY 15-17: Los Barriles

Los Barriles

(35 km/22 miles)

Today is another short drive on Hwy 1 as we return to the Sea of Cortez to Los Barriles, Spanish for “The Barrels”.  Los Barriles began as a fishing village and was given the name as ships from all countries stopped here to refill with fresh spring water, not an easy commodity to find on Baja on the coast. We will stay at the Baja Sunrise RV Park just minutes south of the town.

We have a number of excursions planned during our time at the Baja Sunrise RV Park including an optional excursion into Los Cabos if that interest you.  We will be hosting a “Happy Hour”, have an optional dinner scheduled, a town visit and of course shopping opportunity, laundry and banking.  Los Barriles has become the new hub for RVers in Baja Sur, with several parks well established and thriving.  Baja Sunrise is one of the newer RV Parks which opened in December 2015 and has all the bells and whistles, including 30A power and Wifi throughout the campground.

    Hello Dennis & Gwen,

Currently we are in San Antonio, Texas and headed to the Yucatan.
We will not be returning to Baja this season, we have 3 couples hosting 5 of our tours.

Next season we plan to settle around Los Cabos and La Paz for some time, we will be sure to give you a shout.
