Day 37 – Ray’s Place, Mulege

December 10, 2010-We arrived in Mulege at around noon yesterday after 5 wonderful days in Juncalito where we enjoyed campfires every night, a real treat on Baja for sure.  Some folks made a trip into Loreto, others went for long walks on the beach, everyone was impressed with the variety of birds, particularly the hummingbirds who were attracted on mass to the new feeders!  I went for a hike with others (not many) up the Puerto Escondido Arroyo (wash) and was not disappointed, the views were nothing less then stunning!  Large pools of water, palm trees, huge boulders and great workout for sure, we all took many photos.  Last night we went to Ray’s Place for dinner located out in the Mulege Valley, what a change of scenery from the desert.  The meal did not disappoint, simply fabuloso; Ray & Favi sure have a great restaurant and terrific staff, a real gem.  We also enjoyed some impromptu entertainment as our dance contest winner from our Fiesta Night Dinner in Loreto was inspired to perform again, many were crying with laughter, the good news is we have all the photos!  This Saturday should bring more fun as we have reservations at  the Hotel Serenidad for the Pig Roast where they are entertaining with a tribute ti John Lennon, can hardly wait!

Just a short note; the Canadian BAJA 1000 Team with all NitroLube lubricants on board came in second place to hit the podium. What a great ride by the Team.  They have Video’s on the website. ; Congratulations Jason and Nitrolube
